Importance of Nutrition in Kids

How to explain importance of Nutrition to kids In my previous blog, I have shared many things about positive parenting in modern era.Now a days, parents are bit sceptical how to introduce the concept of value of nutrition to their children as kids today are more interested in having junk food. Parents who make good  nutritional  choices for their kids throughout childhood assist in keeping childhood obesity at bay as well as other diseases that can develop in adulthood like hypertension, diabetes, and heart diseases.  Balanced and healthy  diet  strengthens your child's immune system, helps him or her maintain healthy weight, and aids in his or her brain and bone development.                                      What I feel is that value of Nutrition should be introduced to the kids at an early childhood stage so that they can learn sharing and socialising skills along with good eating habits .Proper and  balanced nutrition makes them mentally and physically sound as they can perfo

Reopening of Schools after Covid-19

What will happen when the schools will reopen post pandemic ? A big-big question to answer after the impact of Covid- 19. Some states have already opened the schools for higher grades. Although pandemic is still not yet over. Slowly and slowly, we are coming out of Covid- 19 trauma but few states are still keeping an isolation mode on for schools as a safety measure. Given the difficulty of situation across the globe, school authorities and the government bodies should call up for a review meeting. It should be in the best interest of the children. Water, food and hygiene facilities form an important part of school reopening measures. Frequent hand-washing should be made compulsory in schools. Strict social distancing norms should be followed in schools. Schools can't operate in 100% capacity till there is no 100% effective vaccination for covid-19. So, benefits and risks should be properly assessed before reopening of schools. Some children may feel anxious to return to school

As parents are the role model for their kids, so making family fitness routine is our foremost duty. No doubt, its a team work. Nowadays because of more cyber exposure, children are refraining from physical activities which earlier used to be the part of their lifestyle. Remember, " Healthy mind is there where there is healthy body ". Therefore, a t a very young age, fitness should be taught to them by parents. This will reduce the risk of developing bone-related diseases later on in life. So make your children involved in any physical activity or any form of exercise they enjoy. This will become their habit that will lasts with them for decades. As parents, we can at least give them this gift. Here is what parents can do bare minimum: We should take time for exercise at least an hour in a day, be it in the form of yoga, wa

Parenting during Adolescence

Parenting during Adolescence                     No other thing can bring joy or pride to parents than having a child. There are many stages of child development such as infancy, toddler, childhood, teenage and finally adulthood.  The period of transition from the childhood to an adulthood (including teenage), i.e the age between 11-18 years is known as adolescence age.
